In 1997 I spent 30 days at The Science Museum, London researching material from the 'Exploration of Space' gallery and the Museum's library. This was an Artist-in-Research Programme residency set up by InIVA (Institute of International Visual Arts).
I subsequently produced three pieces that explored cultural perceptions of Space as an arena for evoking both nostalgia and dread: 'Capsule', 'Oneironaut' and 'Enactment'.
In 'Enactment' (8'32) actors speak words originally uttered across Space. |
