72 Hours Chthonic - Below Earth Day | 2017

In April 2017, four artists and an engineer spent three days and three nights underground in a disused lead mine in Cumbria for a project entitled 72 Hours Chthonic: Below Earth Day.  The five were challenged with existing in the extreme subterranean environment for 72 hours before an audience – accompanied by licensed mine guides - journeyed in to meet them.
